Gettin' all domestic and shit

Today has been pretty uneventful, so you know what that means—more pictures of food. No broccoli this time, I promise. When I lost my job, I made a vow to cook dinner a few times a week. Umm, well that has happened...a few times. Tonight I decided to get back in the kitchen, and I'm glad I did—I always feel better after I make a home cooked meal.  Here's what I made:

I started with a tomato, feta cheese salad with olive oil and pepper. Up until about just six months ago, I swore up and down that I would never like tomatoes. (Whenever I turned my nose up at a tomato, my dad would always say, "How can we be related?!") I wouldn't say that I LOVE them now, but I do enjoy them from time to time.

My main meal was peppercorn pork tenderloin and asparagus with pine nuts. The meat was really juicy and tender, but I overcooked the asparagus and it was a bit wilted.

This picture looks like something that might be found on a soft porn website. That was not my intention; I just thought a photo of my face might be more exciting than a lone shot of a Weight Watchers ice cream sandwich. (Hmm, not sure if I succeeded.)

Tell me: Has anyone made any tasty meals lately? If so, I want recipes!

  3. Luke, you just loved the meal because I rarely cook! I'll have to work on that.

Sarah, thanks SO much for that site!! I always think it's too hard to cook when my groceries start running low, but I know it's just me being lazy.
