My new haircut: REVEALED!

Hey guys! So I just got back from my hair appointment, and I'm happy to report that I like what's staring back at me in the mirror. Phew. I showed Valentino the picture of Lily and he went straight to work. Even though I had complete faith in his abilities (Bumble and Bumble is no joke), I got butterflies in my stomach as soon as he took his razor to my hair. Valentino must have sensed my nervousness because he instantly reassured, "Don't worry, the cut will be fabulous." I felt better after that, although I kept repeating to myself over and over, "It's just hair, it can grow back," as big chunks of hair fall to the ground.

Here you can see just how much was cut. I love the edgy layers—I hope I can recreate it myself!

So it doesn't look so different in this pic, but considering the biggest hair risk I've ever taken is a half-inch trim, it is a big step. When I brushed it out a bit, the bangs just kinda fell to the side and blended in with the rest of my hair, which I'm happy about. Some of the shorter pieces freaked me out at first, but I'm getting more used to it by the minute! Ideally, I'd like a mix between the first picture and this one—I need to play around with it more.

What's the verdict—do you like my new 'do? Should I take a bigger risk next time?!

  1. Hot!It frames that pretty face perfectly and somehow the bangs hanging off to the side add a touch of mystery...maybe there's more to this woman then meets the eye...

  3. Super cute new cut! I can totally relate on the nerves that go along with trips to the stylist: I never had my hair cut more than an inch at a time all the way through high school, and then the day after graduation I chopped off 14 inches. After I worked through the tears it was the best feeling ever! Good perspective with it's "just hair"... it's meant to be played with!
