The Egg Puff

Sometimes it's broccoli, today it's eggs. In my current hungover state, this is all I can manage. Don't hate me. So yeah, the egg puff. Who's heard of it? Probably a lot of of you since I'm not exactly ahead of the curve on all things health and food-related.

Over at Fitnessista, I saw a video tutorial on how to make it. It's so easy, I don't think a video was necessary, but the girl in it was cute, so whatever. Crack a couple eggs in a small bowl, mix it well, put it in the microwave for two minutes (take it out if it starts making a popping sound), add your topping of choice--seasonings, hot sauce, cheese, etc.--and you're good to go.

I made one yesterday and it was pretty good. Not as good as scrambled eggs though. It was a bit too...puffy. It lost points for the airy texture, but gained a few for cuteness. Plus, I didn't have to use a pan to make it, so that's definitely a bonus. If you're in a hurry and want eggs, go with the egg puff.

What's your favorite way to eat eggs? Mine is an egg white omelette loaded with veggies and cheese. This chick over at Healthy Tipping Point puts 'em on her pizza!

  1. Gotta be poached eggs on toast with plenty of pepper and salt!

  3. Flip, the texture is just lighter and airier. I'd prob only make them again if I was in a rush or had good toppings to jazz it up with. I do hate scrubbing the bottom of the pan after I've made eggs, so it was nice I didn't have to do that either.

  4. I've been frying eggs over-easy in olive oil lately. Then eating veggie sausage on the side. Delicious!!! :)
