Photo Shoot Friday: Dogs in sweaters

Winter in New York is not a particularly fun time, but I do love seeing dogs dressed up in hoodies, fuzzy sweaters and puff jackets. The other day I asked a dog walker if I could snap a pic of his dogs and before he could even say yes, I whipped out my camera.

Look how freakin' cute these pooches are. I've seen tons of dog walker jobs on Craigslist and have never applied, but this made me want to!

Ok, so I'm terrible with recognizing dog breeds. My favorite one was the little guy in the army green jacket—what kind of dog is that?

And this big guy was straight up chillin'. Awww. Oh and have you seen the blog, Pets Who Want to Kill Themselves? It's pretty funny. Some people dress their dogs in the tackiest shit. They are fully aware that it's fug, but they do it anyway. Why?

So I have a question for you guys (be honest!): What do you think about Photo Shoot Friday? Do you like it? I like the idea of it, but sometimes it does feel a bit forced to me. Should I only do it when I have really good pics to post? I'm almost done with my blog redesign (Yaaay!), and I'm just trying to figure out what I want to change and what I want to continue doing.  An.y.way.

So tell me: Do you have a dog? Did you have one growing up? What are the cutest and fugliest doggie outfits you've seen?

  1. 1) I love photo shoot Friday. Even if it is just pictures of Dogs. Luckily you live in a city with lots of interesting images, so you could even show us your hood, local street performers, food images (those are cool), etc. I loved when you scanned in old photos, too.

    2) I think that little guy is a Yorkshire Terrier.

    3) Have you seen/read "In Her Shoes"? One of the characters quits her job as a lawyer and becomes a dog walker in Philly. She looses weight, finds love...how she pays for her apartment, I am not sure.

  3. I like Photo Shoot Fridays the most when your out doing things, but I'm not bored if you take pics of dogs because you do things like introduce us to PWWTKTS, that was funny. I agree that some PSF's are weaker than others, but I wouldn't kill it off just yet. Its a good concept. I think part of it is that now that you have the new camera with you at all times, you have pictures every day which takes away from PSF.

  4. Yes, Shannon, I have seen it. Cameron Diaz is in it, right? Ohh, I'm forgetting the name of the actress that becomes a dog walker, but I know who you're talking about...I like her. Yeah, paying for rent..that was just small detail that was omitted.

    Thanks, MHP :)

Good point, G, thanks for the feedback. Should I ONLY post PSF on the Fridays I have something good or at least of interest, ie. the dog blog ?

  5. I love the photos. I really love the random ones, like these pups. I agree with Shannon. I would love to see your neighborhood, apt, etc.

I think the doodle is the cutest dog. I have a cockapoo, so I am a little biased about poodle hybrids! :)
