Photo Shoot Friday

Yay, it's Photo Shoot Friday!!! This one I have to admit is pretty darn awesome. (Most PSF won't be actual photo shoots, fyi). One of my friends at Glamour magazine called me up and asked if I wanted to get some photos taken for their "Would You Dare" column. When I asked what the job would entail, she replied, "Well the theme is 'walk of shame,' so you'll have to look and act hungover from the night before. You know, ripped stockings, messy hair, black eyeliner running down your face..." Me: "Sign me up!"

I used to always say I was a bad actress, but this experience made me feel otherwise. I really "got into character" and tried to imagine what I'd be feeling if I was a hungover mess (didn't have to stretch the imagination too far on that one!). These kids behind me were ruthless. They kept hollering nasty things at me, saying, "Look at her, she's still drunk! She looks crazy!" It was embarrassing enough to be doing this in the middle of work rush hour by Rockefeller Center, and these rude comments definitely didn't help. They were so mean, I actually started crying real tears!
I went to buy a hot dog, because as you all know I love to chow down after a night of drinking. (Hey, I was just doing it for the "character!") When I went to pay for it, oopsie! my bra fell out of my purse. The hot dog vendor really felt for me, I could see it on his face. He picked up my bra and put it in a little doggy bag. How sweet! P.S. This was the first time ever my tootsies have been in contact with a pair of Louboutins. I could have walked around Manhattan all day in those heels. I'll know I have made it when I can afford to buy myself my own pair. I can't wait for that day to come!
These ladies were not having it. I walked beside them for a while and I could feel them looking at me out of the corners of their eyes. To be totally obnoxious, I walked ahead of them and then cut them off, just as I was sifting through my purse with my bra hanging out :) P.S.S. Liza was working at Glamour at the time, so she got to style my outfit. Didn't she do a great job?!

  4. Honestly, I don't know how I did it! I definitely had to give myself a little pep talk before I walked outside. A group of construction workers were watching me, and at the end they shouted: "And the Academy Award goes to..." I don't think I was THAT good, but I'm glad they enjoyed my little performance! Oh, and at one point I even dropped mini bottles of liquor out of my purse, it was so crazy!

Without the tights, you would have been able to see the shoes better...they were basic black with a strap, but the quality is just amaaazing.
