So compared to my wild 'n' crazy bachelorette party last weekend, this one was a bit of a snore. I'm still not feeling 100 percent, so I kept it totally low-key. The last two days have been filled with sleep, movies and Subway--my favorite things!
Friday night Luke and I had a very wallet-friendly and tasty meal at Subway (we split a $5 footlong). Then we went to see a Woody Allen flick, Whatever Works, with Larry David and Evan Rachel Wood. I had read a few bad reviews, but didn't pay too much attention to them. Come on, if you're seeing something with Larry David in it, you know exactly what you're going to get. LARRY DAVID. I wouldn't say it's the movie of the summer, but it was definitely entertaining. The only thing missing was Cheryl Hines. Love her!
Anywho, Saturday and Sunday afternoon I did my Glamour reporting. Basically, I just walk up to random guys on the street and interview them about their dating and sex lives. The questions I asked weren't too invasive this time around, thank goodness. One time I had to ask guys about their "go-to sex move." Those were some interesting conversations!
I am so bummed that my camera died on me this weekend. Some of the most interesting characters can be found in the plaza-like area (Union Square for you New Yorkers) where we conduct our reporting. I don't have pics, but just to give you an idea, I saw: lots of shirtless bums getting their tan-on; hippie kids holding signs that said "FREE HUGS"; a freaky looking psychic that was giving free readings and a hula hooper that was contorting her body in the most unimaginable ways possible.
We finished early today, so I joined two Glamour editors (Hi Brittany and Jess!) to see Julie and Julia. I know it wasn't too long ago that I was crying like a baby about not having the money to go to the movies much anymore, and here I did it twice in one weekend! I felt a wee bit guilty about spending $12.50 on the ticket, but the only other things I bought this weekend were (another) $5 footlong and a $10 metrocard. Plus, I was just dying to see the movie. When I went to the American History museum in DC a couple months ago, I spent 1 1/2 of the 2 hours I was there in the Julia Child exhibit. She's so fascinating!
OK, now I'm rambling. Luke is making salmon and salad for dinner as we speak and we're getting ready to watch No Country For Old Men. Geeze, I'm starting to put myself to sleep with this chilled-out weekend! I feel like I typically live like either a 21-year old or a 40 year-old, with not a lot in between! ha
How was your weekend? Hopefully more eventful than mine!

Photo Shoot Friday
Yay, it's Photo Shoot Friday!!! This one I have to admit is pretty darn awesome. (Most PSF won't be actual photo shoots, fyi). One of my friends at Glamour magazine called me up and asked if I wanted to get some photos taken for their "Would You Dare" column. When I asked what the job would entail, she replied, "Well the theme is 'walk of shame,' so you'll have to look and act hungover from the night before. You know, ripped stockings, messy hair, black eyeliner running down your face..." Me: "Sign me up!"

I went to buy a hot dog, because as you all know I love to chow down after a night of drinking. (Hey, I was just doing it for the "character!") When I went to pay for it, oopsie! my bra fell out of my purse. The hot dog vendor really felt for me, I could see it on his face. He picked up my bra and put it in a little doggy bag. How sweet! P.S. This was the first time ever my tootsies have been in contact with a pair of Louboutins. I could have walked around Manhattan all day in those heels. I'll know I have made it when I can afford to buy myself my own pair. I can't wait for that day to come!
These ladies were not having it. I walked beside them for a while and I could feel them looking at me out of the corners of their eyes. To be totally obnoxious, I walked ahead of them and then cut them off, just as I was sifting through my purse with my bra hanging out :) P.S.S. Liza was working at Glamour at the time, so she got to style my outfit. Didn't she do a great job?!
