Do you Tweet? Should I?

I'm not sure how I feel about Twitter. When I first heard about it, I thought it sounded like a silly competition where people give their best efforts to out-wit each other—kind of like Facebook status updates. It didn't appeal to me. I didn't want to waste my time, or anyone else's, telling the world when I was brushing my teeth, going to the gym or plucking my eyebrows. My disinterest in this new form of social media increased when I found out that someone had actually "tweeted" about ME. To make a long story short, Josh Madden (Joel and Benji Madden's brother) basically told me to get a life. Here's the tweet:

Ellen from *******magazine wanted to ask me questions @ this party I DJ'd tonight, I said I'd rather do it via email, they threw a fit. Grow up

When the publicist told me he didn't want to do the interview, I said no problem. Not a big deal. I'm not trying to start a Twitter battle with Josh Madden, but it's things like this that make me even more hesitant to start tweeting. But now that I'm on the blogosphere, I feel like maybe I should?

To tweet, or not to tweet? That is the question!

  1. Tweet! It's a fun way to stay in touch with what's going on (follow news sites you like to read, friends you think are interesting, etc.), as well as spread the word about your new blog! XO, Blair

  3. I agree with Blair. We're looking into it as a marketing possibility at work, so you could definitely use it to tell followers you have a new post!

  5. I kind of liked it when you were incognito. I was so excited that a "random" reader--and not a friend--had come to the site. hehe. But I'm still so VERY excited than you did, too! Please come again..and again...:)
