Do you have a fail-proof outfit?

For some reason, I feel the most confident when I'm wearing something casual: Jeans, T-shirt, cardigan, Converse sneaks--done. No fuss, no frills, just chill. This is the real Ellen Collis. Will the real Slim Shady please stand up? And, put one of those fingers on each hand up. Umm, sorry. I've been listening to a lot of Eminem on my iPod recently. I digress.

So I don't know what's up with the mean mug on my face. I guess that's just what you do when you're leaning against a brick wall. This is what I wore to work yesterday at the boutique. I was worried it might be a bit too laidback, but I felt so good, I just couldn't bring myself to change. It's just so...ME. I love not second-guessing my outfit choices, and that doesn't happen often. Score!

This is my fail-proof everyday outfit. Slip on some Ray-Bans and I'm good to GO. Now all I need is a fail-proof nighttime look. Once I figure out what that is, I'll just wear it to every single event I go to, and I won't care who's giving me the stank eye. So what's your fail-proof outfit? When are you the most comfortable in your own skin?

  1. I wear blazers way too much in cooler weather. In the summer, I really like a nice dress. It is just so easy to throw on a dress and feel girlie.

  3. MLA, it's Michael Stars! They have great basics. It's not cheap, but the quality is really good, and I was lucky enough to get it at a super discount from work :)

  5. ooo i like rachel's outfit! not sure i could pull that off though. i also am all about the comfort. jeans, flip flops, and a tshirt-but it has to be a little longer than usual. and i love sweaters! as much as i love being comfy, i wish i could break out of the comfort zone sometimes!

i definitely do not have a go to night-time outfit yet either!
