Photo Shoot Friday: Cold PBRs and a whole lotta meat

Happy Friday everyone! Last weekend my friends and I had a cookout on the patio at a bar in Brooklyn called Moonshine. It was so much fun—God, I love summer!

Hola! FYI, this is the same skirt that attracted all sorts of unsolicited attention. Remember? Geeze, it's not even all that short! But tight, yes.

Meat! Mmm. I brought chicken, but ended up eating someone else's 'cause I was too lazy to cook it. I left it in a cooler though, so someone went home with a nice little surprise!

Here I am with Nicole, Liza and Jenn. Everyone looked so cute, I wish I had gotten head-to-toe shots. Ohh well.

And it just so happened to be Rocky's birthday. Lookin' good, my man! Tiffany gets him a special peanut butter doggy cake every year from a place in San Diego called My Best Friend Pet Treats. He's one lucky pooch!

Just as I contemplated bending down to help Rocky lick his plate clean, Tiffany busted out these delicious cookies. They were ridiculously good. Ri.dic. She made them from the Jacques Torres French Kiss cookie mix. You MUST try it!

Nicole played beer maid and made sure everyone had a full PBR at all times.

Liza was pretty chill at the beginning of the cookout, but then...

she got a little silly. Which I love. I kept making fun on her for her Lindsay Lohan spray tan fingers, and she finally busted them out for the cam. You can't see it all that well, but trust me, they were orange.

Lauren and Miko! Miko tried to flirt with Rocks, but he wasn't having it. This further supported Tiffany's suspicions that he likes boys better than girls.

This is Bruno. I'm not sure who his owner was. I think he might have been the bar's mascot. And look at the way he's sitting—I imagine that's what doggy yoga would be like!

Love the shades, ladies!

And things got even sillier at the end of the night. I caught this pic of the girls trying to click their heels together. I sprained my ankle doing that once, so I did not participate. No thank you.

So tell me: Who else loves going to cookouts in the summer? What's your favorite dish to make?

My Friday night: Wii baseball+vodka+spanakopita

Last night I went to Tiffany's new apartment in Fort Greene for a little housewarming party. There was promise of booze, yummy food and a Wii competition, all of which I was mucho excited about except the latter—I'm not exactly a gamer.

Look at this delicious spread: Flatbread w/ mushroom and sausage, lemon hummus, shrimp cocktail and spanakopita.

I'm Greek, and I've never even attempted to make spanakopita in my life. Thanks for showing me up, Tiff.

We had an apple tarte for dessert—fancy schmancy!

Topped with a scoop of Haagen Dazs brown sugar ice cream—yumm! The food was so good, but I didn't totally pig out, which was out of character for me. I put more focus on my bev consumption: a couple glasses of champers, one glass of vino and too many glasses of vodka/Crystal Lite.

Liza and Joyann were cracking me up. I caught them investigating each other's non-existent forehead wrinkles and discussing if and when they should get Botox.

Well, well, well, looks like someone else got their hair did yesterday, too. Lookin' hott, Rocks!

Look at his adorable doggie bed! But, um, why is it PINK?!

I love Tiff's taste—it's super-girlie without being obnoxious, which is hard to achieve.

I have a similar perfume/brush set. What's your favorite scent? I'm a Marc Jacobs gal.

Hello, Blondie! Isn't Jenn's new hair color AWESOME? I mean, seriously, J—only you could look that good going from black to blonde. Lord. Oh, and this is Cory. Fun fact: He plays the lead as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys. Well hello, Mr. Talented!

Lacey kicked my ass in Wii baseball—it's so freakin' HARD! I swung either too soon or too late—how the heck do you get the timing down? I guess the booze didn't help my performance much.

So yeah, Wii, let's add that to my list of things I suck at. At least I looked good doing it ;)

I had a really fun night—it was like a sleepover without the prank calling, piles of candy and sleeping over part. What are you favorite sleepover memories?

It was all a dream, I used to read Word Up magazine...

Salt 'n' Peppa and Heavy D up in the limousine...somethin' somethin' somethin'...I let my tape rock til my tape popped...umm who knows the rest? Last night my boyfriend and I went to Brooklyn, Notorious B.I.G.'s old 'hood. I don't think we were anywhere near the street corners where he used to deal drugs, but things have changed a lot since then, so who knows, we could have been! R.I.P. Biggie Smalls. An.y.way...despite the freezing cold weather, we decided to venture out to Park Slope and try a new restaurant my friend Jenny has raved about.

As soon as we walked inside Franny's I could tell I was going to like it. It was quaint and cozy, and the pizzas I saw other diners noshing on looked awesome.

We ordered a couple of appetizers, and I joked with the waitress that this would be our "last supper." She didn't get it, so I had to further explain that our New Years health resolustions were about to start! My boyfriend got leeks with a fried egg and pecorino sardo on top to start.

And I got the lentil soup. It doesn't look too exciting, but it was really good and hearty. We had our share of alcohol over the weekend, so we passed on the drinks menu, but I overheard the table next to us comtemplating and waaaay overthinking their wine selection. The waiter (who might have been a friend) would bring out a taste of wine, and they'd give their review on it, and then try another one, then again explain why they did or didn't like it and whether or not it would "bring out the flavors" in their meal. Geeeze. Just drink the damn wine, people!

Sausage pizza with buffalo mozzarella--YUM!

We also got the spaghetti with lemon sauce. It was delicious, truly. I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but it was so good, and the citrus flavor was unlike anything I had ever had on pasta before!

Ok, so this is unrelated, but I saw this taxi light in the subway earlier in the day and thought I'd post it. I actually thought for two seconds that I might somehow try to bring it back to my boyfriend's apartment because he collects all sorts of weird, I mean awesome, crap, but I decided against it.

So guys, it's Monday. Back to reality. Here are my New Years resolutions:

-Eat healthier more consistently
-Work out harder
-Read the newspaper more
-Go to church two times a month
-Take better care of my things
-Cook more
-Last but not least, FIND A JOB!!!

What are yours? How does everyone feel to be back at work?!
