Please, someone tell me they know where that movie quote is from. Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead! Only one of the best 90's movies EVER.
Sorry I've been referencing movies so much recently, but you know how much I love them. Plus, babysitting is very much a part of my life right now. Sadly, I'm not doing Photo Shoot Friday today because this week it's been all about picking up extra shifts at the boutique, being a fashion closet biotch (again) and babysitting. Not too fabulous, eh? Plus, per your advice, PSF is not something that should be forced, right? However, I'm going to this very same happy hour tonight, so I'm sure I'll have plenty of fun pics to share next week! FREE drinks, WHAT?!
"I'm right on top of that, Rose!" I used to think that was so funny. And Christina Applegate's work attire? Kind of awesome. So profesh. God, I love the 90's!
Hello, shoulder pads! (Guess what—they're baaack!) I also loved the part when she served up breakfast by pouring Captain Crunch into a ginormous bowl. That would have been my heaven as a kid...or, um, an adult. I love cereal *almost* as much as movies and pizza. And ice cream.
Last night I babysat for this girl, and the mom told me to eat whatever I could find for dinner. I saw a a big box of Honey Smacks that was tempting, but I decided to have something a little more substantial. I made my own pesto and cheese pizza with carrots and blueberries on the side (I had already eaten some before I snapped the pic). Kinda random, but good. Eating other people's groceries is so much fun!
So tell me: What's your favorite babysitting movie? And have you ever raided the fridge on the job? Hey, that's just what babysitters DO. I spotted some vanilla ice cream in the freezer, but I resisted. Who's proud of me?!
Haha...I ALWAYS raid the fridge when babysitting! C'mon...who doesn't?! haha!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THAT MOVIE!! When my husband is being a pain and asking me to do a million things sometimes I yell "I'm right on top of that Rose!!!" back at him.
ReplyDeleteAdventures in Babysitting, from the 80s
ReplyDeleteYou did a good job with that dinner!! I know the feeling; it's resourcefulness that creates such a meal LoL Making the best use of each thing turns out great even if you didn't see how at first.
My house is a daycare and I work at another daycare, too. I've done a lot of babysitting in my day in between here, there and for my nieces and nephews lol
I always grab the small things: pudding, fruit snacks, applesauce, yogurt, pretzels, anything chocolate, fruit cups...Capri-Suns and Go-Gurt, too lol But yesterday, I ate Froot Loops at work lol 1st time eating Fruit Loops in a while.
**Kudos on resisting the ice cream :-}**
I freakin' LOVE that movie!
ReplyDeleteHaha, Eatsgrass—I need to use the line on my BF, too!
ReplyDeleteMmm, Chris, Fruit Loops! I haven't had 'em in forever. And Capri Suns and Go-Gurt...yuuum. "Kid" food is the BEST! Who remembers Dunkaroos? Do they still exist?!
I saw the quote and I just had to click on the blog! I love "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead"! I have a hard time finding people that even know the movie. It's probably one of my favorite movies, of all time. That and "In The Army Now"!
