Let's face it, moms are always right. My mom was right when she told me I'd regret the day I quit piano lessons (I totally do), and she was right again when she said I shouldn't over-pluck my eyebrows because they wouldn't grow back. Exhibit A:

I'm sure you've noticed in some of my previous photos that I have a wonky left eyebrow. I've been trying to grow it out for at least three months, but I still have that damn bald spot. Liza's beauty editor friend, Alexis, basically told me that there is no hope. It ain't growing back. Ever. So now I'm left to explore my options. Alexis gave me a Tarte EmphasEyes brow pencil, and Liza tested it on me last night. Here's the outcome:

A lot better, right? It's still not great, but it's definitely an improvement. Liza got a little too liner-happy though because my brow looks a bit too intense—and fake if you stare at it long enough. Yes, thick brows are back, but maybe not quite
so thick. The next thing I need is brow gel to hold all the hairs together. Anyone have recommendations?
So I'm sure there are much more serious things my mom has told me that have gone in one ear and out the other, but at the moment, I'm so wishing I had listened to her on this one!
What about you: Is there a piece of advice your mom gave you that you now wish you had listened to?
