Thank you for being a friend

This am I got a Facebook message from Aimee, my freshman year college roomie saying, I'm watching Saturday Night Live and hoping there is a great Fired 'n' Fabulous post a brewing about your long-time obsession with the Golden Girls! This is why I love Aim—she remembers EVERYTHING. I know that I watched the show quite a bit back in the day, but I don't really recall being obsessed. But, if she says I was, then it is true. (I'm pretty sure I have subconsciously blocked out 95 percent of anything that occurred freshman year!)

I'm not sure if this will come as a surprise to you guys or not, but my favorite GG was Dorothy. (R.I.P., Bea!) Wit, dry humor, comedic timing—no one did it better.

So who watched SNL last night? I didn't, but I'm just now catching up on all the clips on Hulu. "Swimming in the ocean with my blue jeans on because I love that heavy feeling." Molly Shannon is freakin' awesome! I saw a crazy fan run up the steps after her at a fancy Japanese resturant, Matsuri, one time. Who does that? Sure, you want to, but you don't do it. This was probably my favorite skit even though Betty had a smaller part. She still kicked butt though—big ups, B!

So who was your favorite Golden Girl and WHY? What did you think of the SNL skits last night?
