Totally jealous of your ability to have a few bites here and there.

And THANK YOU MHP and LIS for making me feel NORMAL!!! Phew! Mmm...meatballs and pigs in a blanket sound really good right now! How do you guys bounce back from a splurge meal?? It usually takes me another meal or two to get totally back into my normal groove, which is also something I'm working on...Ellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00425749875167877996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6670679032484051596.post-89978203351257117422010-02-09T05:39:16.402-08:002010-02-09T05:39:16.402-08:00Ellen this weekend was like aramaggedon for me in ...Ellen this weekend was like aramaggedon for me in terms of consumption of things I shouldn't have. It started with a wrap from Jersey Mikes on Friday progressed to a night out on the town Saturday and then Sunday I had planned on being soooo good. It helped that I was hung over and couldn't eat all day. And I thought it helped that I wedged myself in a corner for the game so that I would have to ask people to move in order to get food. Which, let's be honest, would be embarrassing to do more than sayyyyyy twice. But of course I did not let this deter me. No, I just piled my shiny red plate high with pot stickers, chips and hummus, veggies, meat balls and pigs in a blanket. My only saving grace was laying off the booze on Sunday during the game.

So, yes, I feel your pain as I went from losing 7 lbs in January to gaining 5 of it back in a 48 hour span!Berryfinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06587029888497578421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6670679032484051596.post-81106703191206862462010-02-08T14:51:53.293-08:002010-02-08T14:51:53.293-08:00Totally pigged out!! haha!Totally pigged out!! haha!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6670679032484051596.post-19665396416194121172010-02-08T07:19:50.790-08:002010-02-08T07:19:50.790-08:00I went to a party where there was bacon-wrapped qu...I went to a party where there was bacon-wrapped quail hunted from a family farm. Bet you don't get that too often in NYC. It was really good, too. I had only a few bites of that...and a few bites of the home-smoked pulled pork, and a few bites of buffalo chicken dip.
So much meaty goodness.

Today, veggies for lunch.
SCSUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04261556610653423999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6670679032484051596.post-66512696648331507202010-02-08T06:44:54.845-08:002010-02-08T06:44:54.845-08:00Erin's yummy chocolate gluten-free rice krispi...Erin's yummy chocolate gluten-free rice krispies:

Ingredients:

-3 cups of gluten-free brown rice cereal (or, if you prefer, regular rice cereal or Rice Krispies)

-1/2 cup almond butter

-1/2 cup brown rice syrup (or honey if you prefer)

-1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips

Instructions:

In a large sauce pan, combine almond butter, syrup and choc chips. Put on low heat and stir constantly until everything is totally melted together. Take off heat and add rice cereal one cup at a time, mix well after each time. Spray bottom of an 8x8 or 9x9 pan and pour in mixture. Pack down well with hands. Let it sit at room temp for 15 minutes, and then put in fridge for a couple hours for extra crispiness.
